BLACK WATER RISING Return With New Single "Paralyzed" - WATCH

New York-based stoner rock titans BLACK WATER RISING are back and stronger than ever! The group has released a new single + lyric video for the track "Paralyzed". The new offering is the first single from BWR's forthcoming album, set to be released early next year.

"Paralyzed" is also the first track to feature original member John Fattoruso on guitar since the band's debut album. John rejoined the band in late 2019, but then all hell would break loose, forcing an unexpected hiatus. The band's new material promises to be more melodic while remaining just as riff-heavy as BWR’s previous albums, riddled with hooks and catchy choruses to pull you in, all while retaining a musical identity of its own.

Speaking about "Paralyzed" and the new music, drummer Mike Meselsohn states, "We are beyond psyched to finally be releasing some new music. 'Paralyzed' is a song about being stuck and that's how a lot of us have felt over the last year. With John now back in the band, we're ready to shift into high gear and once again move forward. We're all really excited for the next chapter in the BWR saga!"

Black Water Rising is a collection of soul-baring, angst-ridden, riff-heavy material that is proudly anchored in the foundations of traditional hard rock songwriting. Giant guitar-driven monster riffs served up on a bed of crushing grooves with soaring melodic vocals and big hooks. Basically, NO FRILLS RIFF ROCK! Lyrically the message is socially and politically driven by the dark times we live in. With darkness seemingly growing by the day, BLACK WATER RISING is a name that fits this band like a glove. The philosophy of BWR is simple, they are not looking to reinvent the wheel, they just want to give it a much needed alignment in these musically stale times.
The band's discography includes the self-titled Black Water Rising (2010), an album that achieved the number one slot on Amazon's Hard rock chart upon release, Pissed and Driven (2013), an honest, barebones rock album that climbed rock/metal charts, and their third full album, Electrified (2017), with its first single charting on Billboard's Indicator Chart.
